That's my favorite type of music, does anyone know any good bands that noone knows about, like local bands, etc.

I like Default. They have a lot of good songs that nobody knows about. Linkin Park is also cool because all their songs rock. Other good bands are Jimmy Eat World, New Found Glory, Hoobastank, Blink182, Staind, Sublime, The Offspring, Stone Sour, Adema, The Vines, The Hives, The White Stripes, N.E.R.D. Papa Roach, Boxcar Racer, Saliva (Always is one of the best songs of all time), Puddle of Mudd, Incubus, Bush, Creed, Foo Fighters, Green Day, P.O.D. and the band that has been tearing it up....Sum41 (Still Waiting). Disturbed may have been the best band in the world one day had their lead vocal not have died. System of a Down is probably #1 now.

yeah, i have the cd's of default, linkin park, hoobastank, blink182, staind, offspring, papa roach, puddle of mudd, incubus, creed, foo fighters, green day, pod, disturbed
they are all really good
i wanna get new found glory, saliva, adema, boxcar racer, sum 41.
slikrik, i'll check out all the other bands that you have listed that i don't have the CD for or i wanna get,
my favorites though are (in no particular order)

i don't know why, but i don't really like linkin park's remixes, so i don't really like reanimation, another band that i forgot and i like a lot is lit-a place under the sun, they sing my own worst enemy

I like Hybrid Theory a lot more than Reanimation, but it's not a bad CD.
Drowning Pool with Tear Away another band I forgot.
Too sad the frontsinger died 6 months ago
